# #In any case, the AW ban ends on 9/14/2004 by default. Last I heard any #bill to extend it would get bogged down in committee in the House. Some #wacko Senators might whine and moan, but that's about all they can do. # #Regards, #Mark Gibson Mark: I wish what you said was true, but there will probably be some ":masacre" or other reason for the antis to use for their advantage, Look at whgat happened after the Stockton, CA mess...we get the ban passed... Or, if NOTHING happens (which I truly wish), the antis will tack on a ammendment on some piece of "must have" legislation, say making Domestic Violence a Federal rap...that NO ONE would want to be seen as being against.... Either way I say we are looking at a 80/20 probabilty of it getting made permenent. Either way NOW is the time to write both your Senate and Congressional reps and make your desires KNOWN... This is a totally assinine, "feel good", "first step" and highly useless law that has, to the best of my knowledge, never been "enforced" by a prosecution.
