Somewhat OT Jaguar Game

I know there's a Jaguar newsgroup, but most of it is spam and I thought most
of ya'll would be more insightful.  I was looking at Classicgames.com and
heard about a German company called Duranik releasing a new Lynx game and I
decided to look at their Jaguar games.  They have some pics of a shooter
called Native.  All I have to say is WOW.  It's an obvious ripoff of R-Type,
but it looks so gorgeous.  Obviously they didn't start the work, but who
did, and if so, does anybody know if this game is ever going to be completed
and released?  It's just such a great looking shooter and it would be a
shame if it never sees the light of day.
