Let's say it's the first thing done by Player A : during his Main Shot in a duel, and no one responds to it. In the Faceoff : scene, Player A Killdeers the opponent's Character. This is responded to by : Player B with a Nerve Gas to smoke Player A's Character. Nothing further is : added to the scene. The Nerve Gas resolves; Player A's Character is smoked. : The Faceoff ends immediately. Now that Killdeer was part of the Faceoff : that just ended, and it had yet to resolve. Is it effectively cancelled (by : it never having the chance to resolve), or does it indeed resolve before the : Faceoff ends (thereby rendering Player B's Character unable to inflict : combat damage for the rest of the turn, which is important if Player A is : planning any attacks)? All of the effects generated during the Faceoff resolve (assuming they still have legal targets). Ending the Faceoff doesn't clear off the stack. On the other hand: suppose you begin a Faceoff with my Darkness Warriors, and the first thing I do is sacrifice them to gain 1 power. The Faceoff ends when I generate that effect. Can you respond?
