A good plan could be a red deck with Ensnaring Bridge (to protect you from your opponent´s creatures), Shock and/or Pyrite Spellbomb, Hammer of Bogardan (reusable damage), the aforementioned Vortex, and heavy hitter Shrapnel Blast. Seismic Assault also makes for a nice finisher later in the game. I would either go U/R for card drawing and countering (Counter-Burn :-), or add something like Howling Mine/Liar´s Pendulum/Serum Tank/Mindstorm Crown to keep drawing burn. This kind of decks used to be a popular combination with Grafted Skullcap and Ensnaring Bridge. Now, you have to make sure your hand size remains low to make the Bridge work. In fact, I´m thinking this could be a good strategy for the current Standard tournaments. HTH, -- Gustavo Fischer - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
