I was going through my cards trying to make up a really small, fast deck to destroy target libraries. Here's what I came up with: 16 Islands Creatures: 2x Glacial Walls 2x Thieving Magpies 2x Crafty Pathmage 1x Raven Guild Master 1x Covert Operative Non-Creatures 2x Index 1x Words of Wisdom 1x Inspiration 2x Boomerang 4x Counterspell 1x Exclude 1x Brain Freeze 2x Traumatize 2x Lightning Greaves 40 cards total. I think the strategy is pretty clear. Get out the Lightning Greaves, two creatures, and the Brain Freeze into your hand. Bounce the Lightning Greaves between the creatures continuously, then play the Brain Freeze. Since each bounce of the 'Greaves counts as one spell, and the Brain Freeze has Storm, you can build up the total number of spells to an insanely high amount and destory *all* libraries in the game (since Storm allows you to change targets). The mixture of Crafty Pathmage and Raven Guildmaster allow you to destroy other decks until you get the Brain Freeze in your hand. If you have the mana to spare, the Traumatize (one of my all time favorite cards) can quickly take the top half of a library out before you get the right cards out into play and into your hand. Since you would want your cards relatively quickly, the combination of Index and Inspiration/Words of Wisdom helps. Also, getting the Theiving Magpie out early in the game helps to speed things along as well. Of course, this was just made up with what I had available. I threw the two walls in there to bring the deck up to 40 cards (I seem to remember 40 being a safe "minimum" in terms of playing). Ideally you would want to have more Brain Freeze's just so they play out faster. I used Words of Wisdom over Inspiration soley because I only had one Inspiration available, and with the Index cards I think they provide for some nice acceleration. Comments?
