Concede and users that simply disconnect!!!

HELP!!

I am new to Magic the Gathering Online but not to the physical card
game itself.  I recently played a few games in the casual room.  If
games are won within the casual room, does it effect my stats?

I have also noticed players disconnecting from a game rather than
conceding.  Which then forces me to concede.  Am i a complete idiot
and doing this wrong.  Is there a way to claim victory or end the
session/game if the opponent disconnects, so that i do not have to
concede myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
