Yes, >this means before any non-First Strike could resolve all First Strikes >are resolved first. >a) "That would make First Strike worth the blood and card slots" >b) "That would make First Strike too powerful" >c) "That wouldn't make any difference" >d) "That would make First Strike too powerful unless defensive First >Strikes became more common" (i.e. S:CE at First Strike and Dodge at >First Strike). >e) Other (fill-in-the-blank) e) that would totally screw the balance of just about every strike in print, as well as a host of other combat cards. They'd either be too good or too shite. the most simple example of this horror is what an excessive combat monster Muddles suddenly becomes. although on the bright side the Assamites would become as Gods. not that many people have much AH to get hold of Silence of Death, but at least they'd have shadow feint and backstab and veil of silence. backstab being slightly more useful now that there's that cel intercept card. although as a counter to that there'd be no point playing superior shadow feint or veil of silence as their superiors are just 'and no dodge', which would already be beaten by first strike in this insane proposal. (i used the word 'insane'. see, keeping in theme with malk newsletter) salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm
