In fact Khuth now has high enough level and spellcasting that he can have both spells at the same time (and Bolt of Draining also trains Conjurations). And I did, and got the staff of death, which has proven quite helpful. I've found that Bolt of Draining is pretty effective with it (killed an orc knight on Mines 1 with no trouble for instance). Pain is still good for the common orcs and other riff-raff (actually anything that doesn't have to be dead *right now*). > > > > Probably so.
