Oh, don't start over!! Not with a level 50 character. Sure it's a bummer, and
you are now missing a house and some stores, but you can almost as easily work
out of Bree when you move into the Angband dungeon. 

Don't be so disenheartened! It happens. If your character was a lower level one
I might agree.

On the other hand maybe you might feel like starting over for reasons
unconnected with Gondolin.
