To add to this...

Timo, I think the resistance you're encountering is due to what's
perceived as elitism. To think that the game should be *impossible* to
win by someone who hasn't been playing for years, dismissing the
validity of commentary from people just because you don't recognize
their names as long-time posters, trying to tailor the game to cater
to YOUR skill level, and so on does come across as, well, snobbish.
