I have never chosen Hammerhand as anything more than a nexus
resistance swap because of the aggravation and better items.

I agree that a fast recharge [say 10 turns] seems right.  It should be
fast enough to use every time the screen shifts when running
horizontally across the dungeon at high speed, otherwise you have to
assign an inventory slot to detection, and arkenstone stays at home.
