These prices don't seem that high considering the prep work necessary
to obtain a high luster finish. Any existing plating/coating would
have to be stripped. Then the surfaces would have to be polished
nearly as smooth as the finish plated surface. "Brush" finished items
would require more prep. Powder coating tends to be more expensive due
to the higher equipment/material costs, however I wasn't aware that it
was available in clear.
