Description:

"The blood has washed our shores and kissed our banners, and all our sons
are in their graves. Let us therefore embrace peace as we embraced war,
and let the fall of my crown be the last." - King Basil XI (pictured), on
his abdication.

In Nihilo Pace is a strategic, political, and economic simulation set in a
fictitious world in the technological and social period of the 1870s.
Marxism, liberalism, monarchies and nationalists vie for power in the wake
of a new age. Join the battle and forge your nation in this unwritten
history.

The epic begins here.

Turns are expected twice a week (Sunday evening and Friday) and are
abstract - numbers, if requested, will be given on a subjective basis.
Players are requested to have an understanding of economics, political
science, and history, with the last probably being most important even
while the game is set in a fictitious world.

Before the game, players are expected to send a history of the country
they would like to play. This history should detail the current status,
and how the country got there - either a precise history from antiquity,
or a concise description of the contemporary situation. This is to be
something of a test in compositional skill and knowledge of economics,
history, and politics. This allows players to tailor their country to
their own tastes and difficulty.

A basic history is available on the page now, and as the game gets moving,
it will be expanded upon to include what is given by the players. Players
sending in histories are invited to freely build upon what is there.
