The SIXTH ANNUAL MUDtoberfest is almost here! MUDtoberfest celebrates the wonders and possibilities of text-based multiplayer internet gaming. Born in 1998 as a small weekend fun event, it has grown and flourished to become a month-long celebration that usually includes one-shot roleplaying games, a pet show where softcoded animals compete for prizes, scavenger hunts and game tournaments, seminars, and more. Submissions are currently being sought for the (fifth) Innovations in Text-Based Gaming Conference (ITBG), to be held on October 25 at 3:00 pm CDT. Anyone who wants a slot to present something they're doing on a MUSH/MUX that's new or unusual should contact Javelin ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) ASAP to get scheduled in. MUDtoberfest 2003 will be hosted at M*U*S*H (telnet to mush.pennmush.org, port 4201). A social Mu*, M*U*S*H features a friendly playerbase, helpful admin, a relaxed atmosphere, and an easy-to-navigate map. Help is available for those who need it, so come and enjoy the celebration! Come visit today and check out our calendar as it begins to take shape. Useful information can be found through M*U*S*H globals: +gda 10, +signup, and +help bb. The festivities begin with the Opening Ceremony on October 4, 2003 at 1:00 pm CDT. We hope to see you there!
