I have the TRO. I really enjoyed it. The biggest plus is that at the end of it it has illustration of all the different variants for the mechs. This is especially good if you plan on getting the minis and kit bashing your own variants. However, you will not need to do that for some of the minis since in December IWM is releasing variants of some of the mechs like the Marauder. I am sorry but I don't have the Combat Ops book. I have heard from several different people that it is good, but they did not expand on that.
