The "infinite parries" problem is because of dull players being GMed by dull GMs in sterile environments. Their combats all consist of "I swing at him" "He parries, he swings at you" "I parry, I swing at him"...
Im sorry but, I really can't agree with this one.
I have had a fight between two Fencers that could go 7 or 8 rounds without
anything happening. And that was with a fient or two.
Of course that was with olympic fencing, where the rounds are more like a tenth of a second.
