Re: [CP] Cover Rules

Yep. This is exactly the same way my group does it, but now _I_ have a question which has been bugging me for some time:

Shotguns and other area effect attacks, like explosions and so forth... How the heck do you assign damage to the various locations of the body for them? I can't seem to find any decent rules for that in any of the (few) books I have. Certainly not in the main CP2020 book. I mean, if you just divide the damage up equally between the various bodyparts then chances are even the most miniscule amount of armor will eliminate it.

For shotguns, pick a hit location (roll) and splash the damage around to adjacent areas based on range. Divide the total damage amongst them as you see fit.

And yes, armor will be highly effective against buckshot. Each individual pellet doesn't have much of a damage potential, and just about any armor will stop a shotgun blast from more than a few meters away. You might get a point or so of impact damage through soft armors, but see the rules from "Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads" for dealing with that.

Solid slugs on the other hand are a whole lot of different :>
