Another completely different issue here. I've said this before, but I'll repeat it again so there is no mistake. I am a newbie, this is my second long term game, my first since Ice World I, and my first to live past the 5th update. I am a raw player, so please don't jump down my throat for this, but I am shock, stunned, and absolutely amazed that over 10% of the starting nations in a game can declare a victory and there is hardly a peep from the players. When I read that victory declaration, I expected moral outrage, instead I read some humour and a few hearty pats on the back. Don't get me wrong, I know those nations are huge, unbeatable (at least from my standpoint) and as a unit are unstoppable. I also aknowledge that they won fair and square. So please don't think me to be whining, complaining, or harbouring bitterness, because I'm not. But we are down to what 11 Viable nations and maybe 3 tiny hamlets. To me it seems that the fun was just about to start when the four top countries say "okay I'm done, lets move on". I truely found this to be the most disapointing aspect of Empire to date. And even as a newbie, I'm forced to ask myself, Why did this happen? Are we all to friendly? Too many unbreakable NA's? is waging large scale war to time consuming? At some point do countries get so large that they stalemate if they fight? What's the answer, why don't these four nations go for all the glory? Mark (and in case you haven't worked it out, Harondor)
