Compared to the number of copies *sold* they are certainly not played
*regularly* by most of the owners. Ask a random set of people in the
street if they (a) have Monopoly and/or Risk sets, and (b) when they
last played them, and see if that tells you anything.
Or Chinese Checkers either. ;-)
Or for the General Public, chess and draughts. Sets in circulation does
not mean an endorsement of the design. Almost everyone I know has
access to a Monopoly set. I'd guess the average time between games is
measured in years for most, however.
