I am a computer programmer. My brother, who is a school teacher, asked me to write a program to help him design game boards and question/answer cards. He uses board games in his classroom to reinforce course material but creating the game boards and question/answer cards by hand was taking too much time. I have working on the program in my spare time for about 2 years now. My brother and some other teachers in his district have been using it and giving me feedback. The basic idea of the game board designer is to start with a basic board layout bitmap file used as a background and then text and clipart can be placed on the board. The text and clipart can be rotated, resized and moved around with just the click of the mouse. Then the board can be printed out on 1, 2 or 4 sheets of paper (any size your printer can handle) the board stretched or shrunk to fit. Many different game boards can be created from the same board layout bitmap just by placing different text and clipart. I have just finished implementing the latest bug and new feature request list, my brother has over 40 game boards designed,so I decided to set up a web site to distribute the software. You can download a free demo of the software with over 40 gameboards at www.classroomgames.net I'd appreciate hearing what you think of it. David Barrett [EMAIL PROTECTED]
