Well, they don't generally actually test them on a test shard...  They
put them up, but make little to no effort to ensure they run stably
and go thru multiple daily cycles (serverup-to-serverup.)

Then it goes on a production shard for *24 hours* tops, and is
published to the world if there are not severe bugs.
