Speaking of government surveys, our local Congressman sends out these
little newsletters and includes a short survey with them, and includes
the results of the prior survey. I hate them because most of the
issues are much more complicated than the simple yes or no answer. I
remember one that asked about if we wanted such-and-such program, and
the majority said yes. Then about 3 questions later it asked instead
that *if taxes had to be raised* to get such-and-such program if we'd
want it, and most people said no. It was actually the same question,
but people were too dumb to realize with the first question that the
money would have to come from somewhere.
