*Laugh* Which is true in almost all realities so far (except Star Trek 
twenty fourth century Earth, where they apparently do what they do for 
fun, and there is no money anymore).

I dunno, I guess I just look at movies based on books as another form of 
fan fiction- so of COURSE it is not just like the original.
