[starting with two planets is very important for this design scheme as you receive extra minerals and extra starting population; each planet has a stargate where you can juggle population or minerals between them by gating back and forth] The starting few turns are crucial -- 51 resources generated at 2400 with 50400 colonists on the home planet and 25200 colonists on the secondary planet. [This design has Ultimate Recycling, so scrap first the Swashbuckler to gain 33 resources, or 6 extra factories built. Then scrap on the second turn the Stalwart Defender for another 24 resources or 4 extra factories built. Use discretion as to whether you want to scrap the Mayflower for 25 more resources or 5 more extra factories built.] Very inefficient mines [though there's one extra of them allotted] means that research to Electronics 4 and Construction 7 is required for the Robo-Maxi-Miner mining robot. Or perhaps the Elec 2 and Con 4 Robo-miner might suffice -- you will have no mineral production until then, so use what you are given at the start wisely. With the tech settings for this design as inexpensive as they are, and the rapid resource and minerals growth once the Robo-Maxi-Miner mining robot is obtained, this design plays for the early and aggressive barbarian horde of frigates and destroyers, as was intended, and decades before most other designs will be able to defend themselves in a small universe setting. The design also surges out of the blocks from year 2400 much *faster* without the Accelerated BBS option checked because it is a factory growth oriented design. [I have found a use for Ultimate Recycling after all, yeh!] Enjoy! hth Mark Tiangco '/~'
