Not on that map. I usually just made for the outer arena, killed what was 
there using either the rocket launcher (because it hits hard) or the 
chain/plasma guns when confronted by one spider (because the repeated hits 
keep it from usually returning fire. Once I have the first bunch down, I try 
to bait the spiders left on the edge into getting into the center arena. After 
that you can just run in circles and they'll never come back out again. Just 
fire into the center with the RL every time a clear shot is handy and soon 
they'll be down.
