Re: Help with Doom 95

Hi Alex,

Well, it's a bit too late for me to not upgrade, but as you may have saw in my other post - ZDoom has cured what ailed me. Thanks for the technical info on Win2K and XP. I appreciate it.

Now get back and help protect us from the spawns of hell, soldier!

Hello All,

I am trying to re-load Doom 2 onto a system I recently upgraded with Win2K. When I try it manually (the DOS based DOOM) it won't even load. Then when I installed Doom2-95, it will run but the mouse won't work - even though it is enabled and set up.

What is my path of least resistance to get Doom2 up and running (with the mouse) on my Win2K box?

Thanks to all in advance,
--Tim

Sorry tim but WIN2K dont allow direct acces to hardware, and DOOM
needs that acces (like 99% of D.O.S. aplications),

Win XP supplys an "DOS Compatibility mode" that allow users to play
old games but win2k is a SO thinked for Office, and networking NOT
home users.

You should not upgrade your old windows
