Help with Doom 95

Hello All,

I am trying to re-load Doom 2 onto a system I recently upgraded with 
Win2K.  When I try it manually (the DOS based DOOM) it won't even load. 
 Then when I installed Doom2-95, it will run but the mouse won't work - 
even though it is enabled and set up.

What is my path of least resistance to get Doom2 up and running (with 
the mouse) on my Win2K box?
