Keeping score? We were talking about a father playing chess with his
child. When I play with my 12 yr old daughter, neither of us keep score.
Except she keeps score of how many times I loose to her.
Now people who play only internet chess because they are to friggin'
lazy to keep notation in OTB play, saying it effects their game is crap.
They're just lazy and stupid and don't want to put in the work or effort in
order to learn to do it right.
I teach over 200 kids K-6th grade in 12 school each week. It takes me 6
complete moves to teach all my students how to notate. And by the second
semester of school, even my kindergarteners can notate in algebraic form.
They may have some problems with it, but they can do it and they get better
as they continue to do it.
I have one student (5th grade) who is dyslexic and has a major problem
notating. Yet he is one of the top players in his school chess club of 28
kids and he keeps trying.
So, once again I totally disagree with your comments. (In a friendly and
polite manner, of course).
