I have Ruffian 1.0.4 as part of Pocket Grandmaster (Excellent program!), and
it makes a strong opponent.  If you are looking for SMP aware programs, try
Crafty and Deep Sjeng!  I haven't tried the PC version though, is it v1.0.0?
I heard that there is a 1.0.5 somewhere, maybe Arena.  Will have a look for
it.
