Let me clarify: I wrote the BBO program because I thought it was a program that should be written. BBO is free because I want it to be free. BBO is financed by the sale of software but it was not created for the purpose of selling software. At this point in time BBO runs only under Windows because I do not have the time to make it run under other platforms. > If you ever change your mind, and decide you really do want BBO to be > some gift to the world, then there are many ways you could make it be > this without messing up either your work schedule nor your current > commercial endeavors. But I am not saying you should do such a thing. I am not trying to "give the world a gift". I am trying to help make bridge more popular and to be able to enjoy my life and work at the same time. > I am simply saying that if you have not done such a thing, people > should not pretend that you have. I don't really care what other people think of me, but I do not like it when people post incorrect statements about me in a public forum. > Good luck with BBO, BB, and bridge in general. Thanks - appreciate your good wishes. Fred Gitelman Bridge Base Inc. www.bridgebase.com
