BANDIT Phase 1 Steals Lucre From Bank You have the power to rob. On your turn, before you flip the destiny pile, you may attempt to "rob the bank". No other powers, Edicts, or Flares may be used during this challenge. Play an Attack Card, (you may not play a Kicker), then draw from the deck until you get an Attack Card, discarding others. If you did not play the higher card, you were caught and lose 1/3 of your Lucre as a fine; if your card was higher, take Lucre from the bank in the amount of the difference between the two cards. This does not count as one of your challenges. HISTORY: Law enforcement agencies are worried about a growing race of beings quite adept at stealing from the cosmic treasury. Can anyone stop them before the entire universe goes broke? Use Only In A Game With Lucre FLARE Infinity Wild: You may "hijack an armored car". Take all Lucre going to or from the bank at one time. The player(s) get nothing for them. This is a "Use once and discard" Flare for Ancients. Phase 1 Super: You may play non-Challenge Cards to help you win your robbery attempt. PULSAR Phase 1 Con: If Bandit was caught, you receive an amount of Lucre equal to the difference between the Challenge Cards. Phase 1 Pro: You do not lose any Lucre if you failed in your robbery attempt. Eon/Avalon Power If caught pay 2 Lucre to the bank. For every Lucre you cannot pay, you must discard a card at random. Flare Wild: "Use once and discard". Pulsar No Changes Experience Rating: Advanced Commentary: This is a Lucre power from Matt Stone's set. This power has been slightly changed. As originally created, instead of the Lucre loss if caught, Bandit had to use up one of his challenges in order to use his power. If he was caught, his turn ended. I changed this because I felt using up a challenge was too high a price to pay for use of the power. Bandit can only be used on your turn. Therefore, for a lot of the game, you are at one less power than others. To have to give up a challenge as offensive player adds insult to injury, especially in games of 5 or 6 players when being offensive player is uncommon at best. However, I accept the concept of a penalty for failure to steal, hence the loss of Lucre. This power might be a better alternative to Pirate. Heck, any power is a better alternative than Pirate.
