Hello Richard,
Normally this game is available in the better boardgamestores, not in
a usual toystore.
As far as I know it's distributed in here in Belgium and in Holland by
999-games. It might be possible that you can ordered it by e-mail
there.
It's not clear in your request if you ever played Catan. But let me
tell you that it's one of the best boardgames ever.
Catan is made in modules, so watch out when you buy it, you always
need the basic box for the expantions.
There are two kinds of Catan games. First of all there is the
boardgame. This is made for 3-4 players. There are about 5 or 6
expantions available for it. Espacialy the historical set of Troye is
very good. Also the set zeevaarders (sorry I don't know how it is
mentionned in English) is great. This set gives the possibility to
play with two basic sets plus the expantion. On avarage the time of a
game takes about two houres.
The other version of Catan is a Card game. There are also 5
expantionset available for it. Personnaly I like more the cardgame.
I hope my answer will be a help to find the game.
Kind Regards,
Steven
