Power Of The Day Returns

Pretty much out of boredom I'm going to start posting again. For the
most part nothing is new to the oldtimers, but any new lurkers out
there might see something they haven't before. Though not offically
part of ym set yet, there will be some new powers learned from Jack
Reda's website as well as those learned from others somewhat recently
already posted. Naturally credit given where due as well as any
changes I have made for my personal taste.

All powers are writtedn for Mayfair, but there will be an Eon/Avalon
conversion. Format is as follows:

Power description

History - almost all histories of powers that are not canon I made up.
If another wrote the history, it will be acknowledged.

Flare card description

Pulsar card description - my homemade optional expansion

Eon/Avalon conversion - what changes, if any, are needed to have the
power/flare/pulsar be playable using Eon/Avalon rules. Since Mayfair
and Eon diverge a lot via Lucre and Flares, that's where the bulk of
the conversions would take place.

Experience Rating - Personal opinion of the playability of the power
in games with people of difference experience playing Cosmic
Encounter.

Novice - This is a good power in a game with players just learning the
game for the first time and perhaps a few sessions afterwards. Of
course, more experienced players can use it and have fun with it.

Advanced - These powers are for players who get the idea of Cosmic and
would like a little more oomph. Those who like the game and its
Cosmicness can easily deal with these powers in the game. Novice
players can deal with them, especially after a session or two. Some
First Timers might be overwhelemed depending upon their overall gaming
experience of gaming in general.

Experienced - These powers are for those who not only know the game
very well but relish The Works. These powers bring Cosmic Encounter
into a zany level. They are not recommended for Advanced players who
absolutely hate "rules discussions" and/or regard Cosmic Encounter as
just another game. (no offense intended). Players who want the Cosmic
"experience" get along with these powers just fine. Forget about
Novices. They will be overwhelmed. They can easily decide not to
like the game because of these powers since they are not accustomed to
Cosmic Encounter's cosmicness.

Note: Pulsar cards are always Experience Rating.

Commentary - In this section credit is given to authors of powers by
obviousness not produced by West End/Eon/Mayfair/Avalon. I also give
personal opinions about the powers.
