GNU-BG new update. When?

I download and test all the daily updates from the page
http://users.skynet.be/bk228456/GNUBgW.htm  and i find the whole
thing amazing. 
 But instead of updates for improving the interface(GUI) of GNU,
when there will be a new(stronger of course) version in the engine of
GNU?
Does anyone know? And also how the improvement is being possible? By 
autoplaying thousants of games or there is and another way?
