Re: this sounds like a whine I know.....

Aww man, just when you think the FIBS-dice-are-fixed days are over, they come screaming back to haunt you. I guess I'm surprised this thread wasn't started by our resident troll, who seems to either be back on his medication, or in police custody. Or both. Anyway...

At this point I have only 33 FIBS matches entered and my GNUBG guestimated FIBS rating is 160 points higher than my actual FIBS rating. It may synchronize over a larger sample.

33 matches is far too small, especially if the matches are against different opponents. You'd probably want a few hundred or even thousand or even million, if you're talking about analysing discrepancies in the randomness of the dice. I wouldn't waste my time with it -- unless you're bored at work, in which case hacking an Excel spreadsheet may be a good smokescreen for the boss ;-)

By the way, az-willie, your posts are very difficult to read, because you always quote the entire post, and start your reply at the bottom. For this last post, it wasn't bad, but I've seen some 20-page quoted replies before. Please, only quote what you need -- don't keep the rest!

Sorry bout that. I didn't realize I hadn't snipped stuph. Usually I do. Actually I prefer top posting. Much more efficient.

Just open the message, read the new info right at the top and if you don't know what the person is talking about .... THEN... you can scroll down and catch up.

People following the threads already know what was said previously and having to scroll past a bunch of stuff for a "me too" is aggravating.
