I'd personally go for discarding the 'offside' rule, allowing for the
basketball term 'fast-break' to enter this game. But hey...
The offside rule[1] was added to soccer because there were too many
incidents of teams leaving a couple of players standing next to the
opponent's goal, just waiting to tap a long pass in past the goalkeeper.
Ah, so you mean the opposing team was really stupid and did not defend?
This was making the game really boring so it was outlawed.
I think the opposing teams should either use the fact that they are
uoutnumbering their opponent on offense, or they should arrange for
better defense.
And define 'boring'.
I'd love to see 8-6 endscores, instead of 1-0.
I might even start to like the game if more was scored in a game.
