Re: An Odd Situation

Here's a couple for you:
20-40 game at foxwoods last spring:

Its semi-shorthanded, and I get JTs in the cutoff

I have a dinner reservation, and I'm about to go eat when my blind comes
around.

Anyways, I raise and get reraised by the sb (decent but not great player),
and call.

flop comes Ks Qd 9s Perfect

he bets, I raise, he reraises, I call

Turn Qh A little ugly but not completely discouraging.

he bets, I raise, he calls

River Qs, I'm about ready to go to dinner, I see the 3rd Q hit the board
and think sonofabitch

he bets, I immediately muck, about 2 seconds before realizing that I had a
straight flush.

i quickly retrieve my cards, but it's too late. I asked the guy the
all-important question (did he have the case queen) and he showed me AK.

I was pretty pissed about being stupid and giving away a $440 pot, but the
took some solice in the fact that he didn't have the quads.

If he did though, how many bets would he have went there, esp. since AA or
KK were likely suspects to be my holding ( after the reraises on the river
of course)

loose 10-20 at fw

maybe 5 limpers, the small blind grudgingly throws in the 5 bucks, and I
look down and see KK in the big blind.

I raise, everybody calls, the sb is visibly upset, but throws in the 10.

flop: 7 4 4 rainbow

I bet out, get 1 caller, and the sb calls also

turn: J

I bet again, only sb calls

river: K

I bet, sb raises, I reraise, he reraises etc. he had about 250 left in
front of him at this point, and he reraises till he's all in. literally 12
bets.
(I KNEW he did'nt have 44 cause why bother with the theatrics pre-flop
with an automatic calling hand, that probably even benefits from my bb
raise w/ 7-way action)

He predictably turns over the 7-4 o/s for the flopped boat.

Unlucky slowplay followed by the worst river play I have ever seen (except
MAYBE for my str8 flush fiasco)

btw AAA board w KK I go 5 or 6
