COLLEGE FOOTBALL -- November 29

RICE at LOUISIANA TECH -- Points may be well worth taking with a Rice
club that has once again demonstrated they are one of the best in the
country at running the football (284 ypg, 5.2 ypc). Louisiana Tech
just can't stop teams on the ground (4.9 ypc allowed). And the
Bulldogs haven't exactly solved the Rice option in the last couple of
meetings (448 yards rushing). Rice has rushed for 344 yards a game in
its last five, and has managed to keep the turnover bug under control
during that time (+6 margin). Rice's secondary can be exploited (just
8 INT's). Bulldog QB Luke McCown is productive (3004 yards) but has
been erratic (45%, 6 INT's last three games). Rice has yet to drop a
pointspread decision in the WAC this year (5-0-2 ATS). THE PLAY: RICE
