Jeepers, lately I have been worrying so much about how to approach "prediction" in John's RGL test, I am losing what little hair I have left. I had exactly 105,332 hairs before John announced the test, and now I'm down to 86,104. I started with 13,983,816 many years ago. Time has taken its toll. I always thought that hair retention was an anfractuous process even though I didn't know what the term meant. Now they've made it simple with a Laser comb. Where do I sign up for one? - - - Related story. Folks who grew up in central Texas know of John Nance Garner, who was VP to Roosevelt. He was one of the plain, hard-drinkin', cuss-and-say-it straight, no foolin' around Texas politicians of a bygone era. A tough old cuss. His nickname was Cactus Jack. At age 90 he still had a head of full, rich, thick black hair. As much good hair as a 20-year old, and more. On his birthday he was interviewed by the local press. One reporter asked, "Jack, what's the secret of your hair?" Cactus Jack replied, "Drink a quart of whiskey every day for breakfast, and don't wash your hair oftener than every five years." With that advice ... who needs a Laser Comb?
