Read the post titled "Did you win?" posted on 10/18/03. Did you sign up for any promotional contests or sweepstakes? This should tell you if the promotional win is valid. Do they request you to send them any money to file claim before the winnings are released to you? Again, this will give clue to validity. Be leery of winning contests that you never signed up for and/or contests that require you to pay an up front fee to file claim before the winnings are released to you also, watch out for such promo's that request bank account numbers to transfer your supposed winnings to. Email addresses are a dime a dozen and hackers, scammers, and spamers change them frequently. Find out the details for collecting your supposed winnings without making any commitments. Remember, anything that sounds too good to be true, most likely is.
