I have noticed some of you referring to some sort of control entry, which is quite a good idea. To address this I have sent the following email to the web master at http://www.math.keio.ac.jp/~matumoto/emt.html Hi Currently there is a test in the process of being developed in the news group rec.gambling.lottery where several software providers are being asked to put their products to the test. It would be nice if as part of this test we had 20 entries for the US Powerball generated randomly and from an independent supplier to be used as a control. Full recognition will be given to you and your site will be listed. I realise the test is not comprehensive, it is a bit of fun really, so I am not really looking for advice on this issue, however, you can of course join in the newsgroup as anyone is free to. What I am asking, is if you could publicly supply 20 Powerball entries that have been created entirely at random in the form: NN NN NN NN NN PB NN NN NN NN NN PB : : NN NN NN NN NN PB (20 lines) Where NN is a random number in the range 1-53 (no number repeated in the same line) and PB is in the range 1-42 (can be contained in NN - ie it is a different ball set) "John Dingley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Just to add: > > I hope the "test" will proceed if to achieve no more than to stop certain > individuals or companies diving in here now and then making wild claims > about what their software or system does.
