Since you're new, I just thought to offer one further observation.... In Atlantic City, the dealer doesn't check for blackjack prior to the play of hands. If you were to split your aces against an ace or a ten valued card, and it turns out that the dealer had blackjack, you lose only your orignal bet, not the additional amount for the split.
