Ambrosia a la Hugh Awesome! 1 - 4 to 5 pound bag of fresh juice Oranges, cut up Drippings / Juice from the Oranges 1 - 12 ounce can of Pineapple tidbits in HEAVY SYRUP 1 - 10 ounce jar of good quality Maraschino Cherries - drained 1/2 cup granulated sugar, or sugar to taste 1 can of Angel Flake Coconut (optional, but good! We add just before serving) 1/2 cup fresh orange juice, if needed 3/4 cup chopped Stuart or Schley Pecans (optional) In a large ceramic or plastic bowl, peel oranges -- Remove white membranes and seed and cut sections into bite size pieces. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap or tight lid and refrigerate overnight. Keeps refrigerated up to a week. -- Believe me it will be gone by then!
