Roper refrigerator failure

Hi all:
I bought a Roper refrigerator 18 mos. ago and declined the extended
warranty, as my old whirlpool had lasted 15 years without problems. The
compressor runs incessantly, and water drains to the bottom of the frig
all the time. It is not overloaded; it is not turned to maximum cool.
The seal on the door seems to be intact.
Does anyone have any ideas, or must I acquiesce to the thieving magpie
repair industry.
