Personally I'd go for one of the Indian brews - Kingfisher or Cobra.
Not too gassy, good flavour (for a lager), and good enough to stay on
for the rest of the day. For afters maybe one of the dark
French/Belgian offerings - Leffe perhaps, or better still Ch'ti Brune.
