Nice story but I don't understand the conclusion!
He should follow the advice of those he asked, and go with something malty
like the Ofest or low-in-hop porter.  Even a quality cider as recommended
there at the end, would be nice.  I don't think he'll be satisfied with
the choice of pilsner.
