I saw the old mental hygiene film "Reefer Madness," downloaded from Kazaa. The blatant propagandizing renders this scare-tactic-laden flick pretty darn funny. Some of my favorite quotes: "Under the influence of [marijuana], he killed his entire family with an axe!" "It is recommended that the defendant be placed in an institution for the criminally insane for the rest of his natural life." "...more vicious, more deadly than these soul-destroying drugs [opium, morphine, and heroin] is the menace of marijuana." "The first effect is sudden, violent, uncontrollable laughter; then come dangerous hallucinations -- space expands -- time slows down, almost stands still... fixed ideas come next, conjuring up monstrous extravagances -- followed by emotional disturbances, the total inability to direct thoughts, the loss of all power to resist physical emotions... leading finally to acts of shocking violence... ending often in incurable insanity." (Copied from text in the film. Don't blame me for the strange punctuation.) Wow. They had some strange pot in the 30s. With my last experience, I sat on a couch and giggled at people. Then, I had carrot cake (dairy free). But I ate it... uh, menacingly. Yeah. ;-) -Vioxel [EMAIL PROTECTED] Just remove all the spam and such.
