I have purchased generic Piracetam from Sherwyn's, and I have noticed a difference from the UCB brand. When I first tried Piracetam, I ordered 280 non-generic tablets from Nubrain, and did the initial overload dose. Thereafter, I felt nice effects with a standard dose of 1400 mg, which waned as time went on. When I ran out of the UCB brand, I ordered 280 from Sherwyn's, of which I did an overload dose. This brand seemed to me to be very different, and I couldn't really feel any effects unless I combined it with Huperzine A or Galantamine. When combined with either of these two, the effect was stronger then when taking any one of them alone. This difference may be accounted for through lack of potency, due to Sherwyn's brand only synergizing with other Acetylcholine agents, and not demonstrating pronounced effects when taken alone. This could very well be a placebo effect because the UCB brand is orange and has "N" inscribed on the tablet, whereas Sherwyn's is a pure white substance in a capsule, giving the former a more "official" look of a drug. You can decide for yourself, but I wish someone would buy some of Sherwyn's Piracetam and get the ingredients verified through a 3rd party laboratory test. The brand of Huperzine A I buy (Nature's Plus) gives a certificate of authenticity in each bottle, with the results of a potency test and the company signature of the 3rd party laboratory. I think this company is very intelligent to include this with their product, and should be axiomatic in the distribution of all supplements and smart drugs.
