Freshness is very important for some herbs as well. 

I suggest this convo be moved to alt.folklore.herbs, as some folks there are a
Lot more knowledgeable than most here on the matter. There actually are
problems with some herbs that folks should know about. Often with references,
names of companies and so on, instead of the blanket suppositions with nothing
to back them up, like in this thread. Nex
