UPDATE on New Machine

Well....I now have my sewing machine.....thankyou to all those who offered
helpful advice.

The machine is an Elna 500 series...it has "Club Computer" written on the
side. It is very easy to use and has some interesting looking stitches.

I went and bought some bobbins and took the existing one there with
me....the ones I got work fine. The machine works well...I managed to create
numerous straight lines, numerous "pretty" stitches and tried almost all the
stitches and settings (stitch length etc.). The only thing I can't try is
the button hole one as there is not button hole foot (it apparently came
with one but must've got lost in transit).

So I now have a question....are the button hole foots (feet) machine
specific? i.e. can I buy one for an Elna or does it have to be specific to
the particular model?

Other than that I don't have any other questions....yet....but lets see how
that changes once I actually sew something!!
